Love Always Wins, a beautiful 10-song album by artist Annie Coty has landed out of Palo Cedro in Northern California, May of 2018! Her first studio effort in over 10 years features a collection of songs near and dear to the singer-songwriter with flavors of acoustic blues and strong vocals and lyrics with traces that span from Bonnie Raitt to Joan Baez. After touring over 30 countries for more than 20 years from prisons to rodeos to the USO, Coty has an accomplished career as a performer and songwriter and is joined by some outstanding talent on this rollicking project including Scott Joss (Dwight Yoakam, Merle Haggard) and Bruce Turgon (Lou Gramm, Foreigner).
Always the entertainer and storyteller, Love Always Wins is her inspiration for music and life. The title track and Angel in My Doorway were inspired by the passing of Coty’s husband, all forming a project that has a bigger meaning for the artist and her music.“In response to life, sometimes you just need to relax and write a song”. Songs such as Minor Delays and Read Between the Words showcase her motivation for turning the corner to the next phase of love and healing.
All songs by Annie Coty including her lead vocals and acoustic guitar featuring Scott Joss on acoustic guitar, fiddle, and back vocals, Bruce Turgon on bass, electric and 12-string guitars, keys, and percussion, Steve Cheek (Harmonica Steve) on harmonica, Christopher Maples on French Horn, and backing vocals by Diana Wallis, Demetra Jones, and Jane Love. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Bruce Turgon at After Hours Recorders in Redding, CA. Find Annie on the web and get out to one of her many shows around the Northern California region!
“I caught a very genuinely lovely voice as singer-songwriter Annie Coty performed with out-of -this-world fiddler Scott Joss at the Vintner's Cellar...I love how genuine Coty is as a performer. Plus she has nice originals, an easy finger picking style…” – Jim Dyar, Redding Record Searchlight
