Modern folk songs for ears of old souls

Trapped somewhere between a hippie and a cowboy, singer-songwriter Jonathan Foster brings a roots blend of folk-rock music as a recording artist and performer. This summer (July 4, 2017) marks the release of Green Eyed Bird, his 3rd full length studio album. It's a rollickinig album of introspective sounds, lyrics and songs demonstrating his own American Dream.
On Green Eyed Bird, Foster is joined by accomplished long-time comrades and musicians Morgan Hannaford (bass, mandolin, dobro, pedal steel and vocals) and and drummer Joe Misztal. Special guests also include Ron Gillette (guitars), Jim Dyar (guitar & vocals), Susie Foster (fiddle), and Bruce Turgon (12-string). The album covers growing up with summer ending, a folklore noir about dragonflies, a sea shanty ballad, some subtle protest tunes, the freewheeling American dream, an alt-festive hit, a winning songwriting contest winner, and other favorites! Go and see Jonathan on tour across the American Highway this summer.
"Nice classic country feel to his voice. Kind of reminds me a bit of Randy Travis only without the psychotic episodes." – Anonymous
