Trapped somewhere between a hippie and a cowboy, singer-songwriter Jonathan Foster brings a roots blend of Americana music as a recording artist and performer. This spring he releases American Highway Live (March 2016), recorded from his 2015 Help Me Run tour. It's a unique and intimate solo effort that reflects the years of songwriting and performing that has brought Foster's music across the country.
Help Me Run (2015): Foster is joined by accomplished Northern California musicians Morgan Hannaford (upright & electric bass, mandolin), Tracy Manuel (drums, percussion, vocals), and Ron Gillette (lead guitars) with special guests Katrina Ericson (vocals), Jim Dyar (guitar & vocals), Torri Pratt (vocals), Joe Misztal (drums), and Susie Foster (fiddle). Written and performed at the crossroads of prevailing American life, Help Me Run showcases Foster's artistic taste in songwriting where the land, highway, people and music meet. Starring rivers, trains, roads less travelled, and names, Help Me Run pushes past cruise control with stories of hope, death, and the allure of the outdoors. Go and see Jonathan on tour somewhere down the road this summer.
"Nice classic country feel to his voice. Kind of reminds me a bit of Randy Travis only without the psychotic episodes." – Anonymous
